What is High Interest Day?
High Interest Day is one of the most anticipated events of the school year. It is an all school event that takes place in the spring. Parents and outside presenters provide various special interest programs or activities in the classroom. Students have an opportunity to select several topics they would like to learn more about and then move around to those various classrooms for the presentations. Popular activities in the past include Slime Science, Making Suds, Build a Roller Coaster, Duct Tape Creations, An Owl’s Lunch, and Catapult Construction. We depend on parent volunteers to help ensure the success of this event. Many many volunteers are needed to teach the activities, help with the organization and planning of the event, assist presenters in the classroom and help at the luncheon that follows the presentations.

¿Qué es el día de alto interés?
Nuestro Día Superinteresante es uno de los eventos más esperados del año escolar. Esté es un evento que se lleva a cabo en todas las escuelas durante la primavera. Los padres y presentadores ofrecen diferentes actividades o programas a los estudiantes en sus salones de clases. Los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de elegir entre los diferentes temas ofrecidos aquellos que les interese aprender un poco más y luego cambiar a otra actividad entre las diferentes opciones disponibles. Algunas de las actividades más populares en eventos anteriores son: La ciencia detrás del Slime, Haciendo Burbujas, Construyamos un Montaña Rusa, Creaciones con Cinta Adhesiva, El Almuerzo de los Búhos y Construyamos una catapulta.
Nosotros dependemos de la ayuda de los padres voluntarios para el éxito de esté evento. Muchos de nuestros múltiples voluntarios se necesitan para mostrar las actividades, ayudar con la organización y planeación del evento, ayudar a los presentadores en el salón de clases y ayudar con el almuerzo que se ofrece después de las presentaciones.
