Welcome back Timberwolves!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School year!  As announced by the district, the first day of school will be Friday, August 21, and we will be starting the school year via remote learning.  Please watch your email and Skyward for details and schedules.

While this year may look different in many ways, the PTA remains committed to being a partner for Students, Staff and Administrators, and we’re looking for creative (virtual) ways to connect and offer programs.  If you have ideas or want to help, please reach out to PTA President Christa Sowa, or any of the PTA Executive Committee.

Community Resources

In this uncertain time, there have been many questions on how individuals and families can help.   District 41 continues to work with families along with many community resources including:

If you are in a position to provide financial or donation support to any of these organizations it is very much needed at this time, and very much appreciated!

If you need food assistance, click here for community resource information.  If you have other financial needs related to the COVID-19 crisis, please contact Mrs. Solomon, Gaby Escobar Hernandez (bilingual, Spanish/English – (630) 534-7633), social worker Julie Duvalsaint, or GECRC’s Jackie Reeves (bilingual, Spanish/English, text/call at (630) 479-9919).

Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Churchill has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House on a Community Service Project in honor of Katie Rice, a Churchill Parent who recently lost her battle with cancer.  You can help by donating the tabs you pull to open soda, soup and other aluminum cans. The funds generated from our Pop Tab Program help support RMH programs. There are collection houses in each classroom, so please send them in with your student.  Click here for more information.

Box Tops for Education

Get going, and collect all the box tops you can!  Remember, 1 box top =  $0.10, so 15 box tops = $1.50.  See how quickly the money can add up!  Churchill has approximately 700 students, so if everyone brings in 10 box tops, we can earn $700!   Remember to label the bag or envelope with your child’s name when sending Box Tops to school to be eligible for prizes!

Look for the Box Top label on your favorite products – what an easy way to support the school!
